Job Description

Cedar Gate Services is looking for a few Collections Specialist who will be responsible for resolving assigned account receivables (A/R), account reconciliation, management, research, and handling of unresolved claim inquires or issues.

Responsibilities

Complete reimbursement processes in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance to the best industry practices and pre-defined standards
Analyze and properly resolve assigned claims in a timely manner
Communicate with carriers, physician’s offices, patients, and management to achieve resolution of issues and claims’ statuses
Accurately verify insurance benefits related to claims
Ensure that insurance benefits are updated
Process required adjustments according to department protocol
Ensure that payments are posted accurately
Appeal claims appropriately, as needed
Obtain medical records and other documents from appropriate resources as required for claims’ payments
Follow company's collection policies and procedures
Work with external agencies, vendors, and clients to maintain the company’s acceptable AR days, AR aging, and payments
Other tasks as assigned by the management
