Doko Recyclers (DR), a social enterprise, is the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in Kathmandu Valley and outside. DR serves customers in residential, commercial, industrial and municipal markets throughout the valley.

We implement methods to help you segregate waste at its source into different categories before it enters our waste stream. Once it enters our waste stream we continue to separate your waste into different recyclable categories ensuring that the right materials get to the right industries. These industries then extract and reuse existing resources from the waste you give us to create new goods. Our shredding, e-waste, and composting services in addition to our waste pick ups, awareness training workshops, and waste segregation infrastructure setup all allow you to do this instinctively in your own homes and office spaces.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. 
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a client-facing role (managing client relationships).
  • Prior experience working with clients from multiple sectors such as Corporates, Banks and Financial Institutions, NGOs/INGOs, etc.

Job Description

Business Development

  • Routinely identify and develop new client relationships with measurable revenue streams for long-term growth and profitability. Develop strategic relationships with potential clients to offer our services:
              a. Waste management and recycling-related services
              b. CSR collaborations with corporate partners
              c. Workshops with clients
  • Lead clientele growth and support new business efforts in liaison with the Business Development Team. 
  • Lead client onboarding process which includes client meetings, waste assessment, preparing and sending proposals and service agreements, etc.
  • Offer strategic advice, thought leadership, and day-to-day management in order to grow the business.
  • Perform competitive research to understand current market needs/trends, and incorporate findings for better results.

Client Management

  • Maintain good relationships with existing clients for long-term collaboration. Communicate with them regularly for assessing needs, accounting purposes, contract renewals, etc., and address concerns in a timely manner.
  • Take regular feedback from clients at regular intervals and incorporate them into the existing system to enhance our service delivery.
  • Ensure that the client database is regularly maintained and updated.
  • Research and test partnerships with new clients to expand our reach. Actively follow up on potential clients for any partnerships.
  • Work with the team and accounts department to ensure timely contract execution and renewal adjustments.

Advocacy and Others

  • Attend and participate in events such as panel discussions, conferences, and seminars on behalf of Doko related to waste management and related matters.
  • Become actively involved and work closely with related teams in the planning and execution of campaigns on waste management and related matters. 
  • Assist team members with their tasks when they require assistance.
