We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Site Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Ankhu Hydropower Project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing on-site construction activities, ensuring work is executed according to approved designs, specifications, and timelines. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and coordination skills to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency in a hydropower project environment.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site, ensuring adherence to drawings, specifications, and work plans.
Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of civil works.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams for smooth project execution.
Ensure quality control of construction materials and workmanship in compliance with standards.
Prepare and review site reports, progress reports, and documentation.
Conduct site inspections and identify potential risks or delays, implementing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at the site.
Assist in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for civil works.
Verify quantities, measurements, and contractor bills as per completed work.
Support design review and resolve technical issues arising during construction.
Maintain proper documentation of site activities, drawings, and approvals.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely availability of materials.
Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders as required.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction, preferably in hydropower or infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and site management.
Familiarity with hydropower structures such as headworks, tunnels, canals, and powerhouse construction is preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other engineering software.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of safety standards and site compliance requirements.
Ability to work under pressure and in remote site conditions.

Ankhu Hydropower Project is run of river type project located at Ree, Darkha and Jharlang VDCs of Dhading. It has design discharge of 24 m3/s, gross head of 215 m and installed capacity of 42.9 MW. The average annual energy generation of the project is 227GWh. The energy generated from the project is evacuated through a 25 km long 132 kV transmission line to NEA substation at Nuwakot. The project has already signed grid connection agreement and process of Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is in progress.
