Requirements:

Bachelors in Civil Engineering- aggregate of the last 7 semesters to be at least 70%.
10+2 or Diploma level- at least 70% score.
Working experience in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus,
Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal),
Knowledge in computer hardware and software is preferable but not compulsory.
Must have a working laptop of their own.

Job Description

Nepal Center for Engineering and Research Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a candidate for a Civil Engineering Intern position in Kathmandu, Nepal. We operate under conditions of flexible work location and flexible working hours. i.e This is a work from home position with flexible working hours. This is a paid internship position where we offer to pay a monthly stipend of NPR 15000. This is a fixed term internship opportunity of 3 (three) months duration with possibility of extension.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Perform Civil Engineering Design (manual as well as using available software)
Prepare Engineering Cost Estimates
Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD
Learn and develop skills for new softwares and assist team leads.
Limited administrative and managerial tasks

The successful candidate must be willing and able to work with minimum supervision, should be able to take the initiative and self-learn, interested in seeking new knowledge and challenges, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and willing to be flexible in working hours to accommodate foreign partner companies (overnight working is not expected). The position would be more suitable for an individual who is interested in and willing to handle the conditions of a growing organization while contributing to its growth. The successful candidate will receive training in required software for engineering design applicable for different parts of the world.
