Required Skills:

• Excellent English and Nepali communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Ability to interact and present ideas with staff at all levels of an organization, preferably  government agencies
• Ability to process data/information thoroughly and independently and work effectively and collectively in a team-based environment
• Ability to write quality reports

Work Experience:

• Experienced civil or construction engineer, specializing in design, construction or structural engineering of buildings (office or school) or other infrastructure
• Deep knowledge and solid experience in various relevant civil engineering fields/disciplines such as planning, designing, constructing, maintaining, operating, and inspecting buildings
• At least 10 years’ general experience and 6 years’ experience in the relevant field/discipline
• Experience in inspecting building or infrastructure projects (e.g., school buildings, office buildings, other infrastructures)
• Experience in the region and/or country
• Experience in disaster risk areas is an advantage
• Experience in projects funded by multilateral development banks/international financial institutions is an advantage
• Earned eligibility or qualification from accrediting institutions or professional organizations is an advantage
