  • Sound knowledge on child rights, child protection and governance issues. And basic knowledge on child protection system
  • Good knowledge on group Management, mobilization of stakeholders, discussions, inter-personal skills, Innovation, mobilizing the community based child protection formal and informal mechanism for the protecting the children and building safe environment
  • Having good knowledge on monitoring and evaluation process

Job Description

  • Facilitate and Support in the formation of Local level child protection and promotion committee in target area
  • Facilitate and support for child friendly local governance process
  • Facilitate in the participation and selection of MG, SMC/PTA, Life skills group, Child Clubs from the most vulnerable area
  • Support providing local information as required to the Project Coordinator and MEAL Coordinator to update database on the local child protection and promotion committee and other groups
  • Monitor and provide feedback to the young leaders/peer educators on the implementation of life skills sessions
  • Support municipal/Ward level Child Protection and Promotion Committee to organize meeting and be part of it
  • Participate in the ward/municipal level meetings organized by the local government and advocate on the issues that protection project is highlighting
  • Report the child protection incidents happening in the community to the formal system as well as Child protection focal points within the organization
