Reports To: Executive Chairman / Managing Director
Supervises: Finance & Accounts Department at Corporate Office and Branches/Units
Position Level: Head of Department

Job Purpose

We are seeking a Chief Finance Officer (CFO) to lead and control the overall Finance & Accounts function of the Company and ensure sound financial management, accurate accounting and reporting, effective internal controls, statutory compliance, efficient cash-flow and working-capital management, proper manufacturing costing, and timely financial information for management decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

A. Overall Finance & Accounting

Head and provide overall functional leadership to the Finance & Accounts Department.
Ensure accurate, complete, timely, and properly authorized recording of all financial transactions.
Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and financial systems across the Corporate Office, factories, branches, and other units.
Ensure proper maintenance of books of accounts, ledgers, vouchers, registers, reconciliations, and supporting documents.

B. Financial Reporting & Compliance

Ensure timely preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Ensure compliance with applicable NFRS/NAS, tax laws, Companies Act, VAT, Excise, and other applicable laws, rules, regulations, and regulatory requirements of Nepal.

C. Budgeting & Financial Planning

Lead preparation of the Company's annual budget, financial plans, and cash-flow forecasts.
Advise management on profitability, pricing, expenditure, investment, expansion, cost control, and other financial matters.

D. Treasury, Banking & Working Capital

Manage cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and banking relationships.
Monitor bank accounts, loans, interest, guarantees, fund transfers, and other banking facilities.
Ensure adequate funds for operations, payroll, suppliers, statutory obligations, and other commitments.
Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and cash conversion to maintain healthy working capital.

E. Import, Export & LC / Trade Finance

Oversee the financial aspects of all import and export activities.
Supervise Letter of Credit (LC), bank guarantees, import/export financing, documentary collection, advance payments, and other trade-finance transactions.
Coordinate with banks, customs, suppliers, customers, clearing agents, and relevant departments regarding financial and trade-finance matters.

F. Manufacturing Costing & Inventory Control

G. Taxation & Statutory Matters

Ensure timely and accurate filing, payment, reconciliation, and record-keeping of income tax, VAT, TDS, excise duty, and other applicable statutory obligations.
Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation.

H. Audit & Internal Control

Coordinate statutory, tax, internal, and other financial audits.
Ensure timely resolution of audit observations.

I. Management Reporting & Advisory

Provide timely and reliable MIS and financial reports to the Executive Chairman/Managing Director and senior management.

J. Branch & Team Management

Lead, supervise, and develop Finance & Accounts personnel.
Ensure uniform accounting policies, reporting formats, and financial controls throughout the Company.

K. Finance Systems, Records & Confidentiality

Ensure effective use and reliability of the Company's accounting/ERP systems.

Qualification & Experience

Education: Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Commerce, or a related field. (Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CMA, or equivalent is preferred.)
Experience: At Least 5 Years
Significant senior-level experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in a food/manufacturing, trading, import/export, or multi-unit organization, with practical experience in accounting, taxation, audit, budgeting, costing, treasury, banking, LC/trade finance, and financial management.
