Are you ready to be the social media king or queen? Do you thrive on travel and relish the opportunity to be the face of a dynamic, technology-driven platform at any given time? Students Herald is seeking a bold, charismatic, and dynamic Chief Engagement Officer and Lead News Presenter to lead our mission of fostering a sense of connection and community among international students. This pivotal role requires an exceptional individual who can engage with our audience, present news stories, create compelling vlogs, and forge strong relationships with educational institutions, universities, and partners worldwide

Responsibilities

1) News Presentation and Journalism:

  • Be the primary news presenter for Students Herald, delivering compelling news stories and updates.
  • Research, write, and present engaging news segments, features, and interviews.
  • Uphold a positive public image for Students Herald through your presentations.

2) Community Engagement:

  • Connect with our international student community via social media, live events, and interactive sessions.
  • Create and share captivating content, including blogs, vlogs, podcasts, and social media posts.
  • Respond to community enquiries and feedback, fostering trust and loyalty.

3) Partnership Development:

  • Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, universities, education departments, and consultants.
  • Collaborate with partners to create beneficial opportunities for content sharing, events, and initiatives.
  • Represent Students Herald in negotiations and discussions with potential partners.

4) Content Creation and Management:

  • Work with editorial and marketing teams to develop content strategies aligned with our mission and goals.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality multimedia content that highlights student stories, educational opportunities, and cultural experiences.
  • Ensure all content is accurate, engaging, and reflects our commitment to diversity and inclusivity.

5) Brand Strategy and Growth:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of Students Herald’s brand strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for brand growth and expansion into new markets and regions.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead of the curve.

6) Feedback and Improvement:

  • Gather and analyze feedback from the community and partners to continuously improve our offerings.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team on enhancing our brand presence and impact.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree or higher is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the education or media industry.
