Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Chef will be responsible for preparing a variety of meals daily, ensuring high-quality taste, nutrition, and presentation. The role includes planning menus, managing kitchen inventory, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring timely meal preparation for the household or establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare multiple varieties of meals per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) as required.
Cook Nepali, Indian, and basic Continental dishes (or as instructed).
Plan daily and weekly menus based on requirements and dietary needs.
Ensure food quality, taste, nutrition, and presentation standards.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Manage raw materials and notify for timely grocery/ingredient purchase.
Minimize food wastage and handle ingredients efficiently.
Clean utensils, cooking area, and kitchen equipment after use.
Follow instructions regarding dietary requirements or special meals.
Ensure timely preparation and serving of food.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Proven experience as a chef/cook (home, restaurant, or hotel experience acceptable).
Knowledge of preparing a variety of cuisines.
Ability to work 7 days a week.
Physically fit, hardworking, honest, disciplined, and well-mannered.
Basic understanding of kitchen hygiene and food safety.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working as a private/home chef.
Ability to prepare vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
Flexibility with menu changes as per requirement.
