Job Description

The Category Head’s role is to bring in the relevant assortment, design targeted promotions, and manage partners including sellers and brands. Category Heads anticipate customer needs and incorporate them into the functional roadmap and will drive a major change or enhancement for customer experience influencing category needs based on their knowledge of competitive trends in the marketplace and other macro environment data. He or she will have strong business judgment with a track record of strong ownership values and relationship management skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a start-up business team.

Specific Responsibilities:
The successful candidate must be an effective leader and communicator working with our most important partners, as well as with internal colleagues and groups. Some major duties and responsibilities include:

An understanding of and passion for e-commerce.
Work experience is preferred (2 - 4 years).
Experience in Business and category management.
Knowledge in the publishing, music and sports sectors and up-to-date with the latest happenings in the sectors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven negotiation skills, influencing abilities.
Strong numerical and analytical ability.
Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Good organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications Required:

Master’s degree or higher in Management and/or Engineering.
Proven exposure and experience in publishing sector in Nepal.
Strong technical, process and solution orientated skills and mindset required.
Exceptional organizational skills
Focus on execution, efficiency and scalability
Familiarity with e-commerce and online shopping industry highly desired.
