Himalaya Airlines (H9) is a Nepal-China joint venture International Airlines, established in 2014 with two complimenting objectives: to promote people-to-people contact between Nepal and other countries, as well as to boost Nepal's trade and tourism industries. The joint venture alliance is between Tibetan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Company Ltd. (TCADIC) and Yeti World Investment Pvt. Ltd. H9 young fleet has total 4 aircraft: three Airbus 320-214 (180 all-economy seats) and one Airbus 319-115 (144 all economy seats). H9 is currently operating passenger flights to prominent countries of Middle East & South Asia: UAE, Malaysia, Qatar, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Bangladesh & China.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

Revenue Generation

  • Develop sales network and price structure to attain targets and increase revenue including visit to the cargo agents
  • Support and coordinate Cargo Manager to achieve revenue targets and execute sales contracts as required
  • Help to generate revenue with perspective sales channels, product sales and offline sales development
  • Conduct regular reviews of accounts’ performance and seek additional revenue opportunities from each account
  • Assist in setting the annual revenue budget and Cargo Business Plan as required
  • Manage the day-to-day client-servicing with customers to support revenue generation
  • Collect, analyze and report market conditions, trends and activities weekly/monthly/yearly
  • Provide best sales and customer service at all customer touch points to drive premium selling rates and regular business

 Cargo operations

  • Supervise GHA for acceptance of cargo, loading cargo into the Aircraft, warehouse management and overall cargo handling
  • Coordinate with Cargo Agents

Partnerships and External Liaisons

  • Assist the Cargo Manager to manage relationships with shippers, key industry trade partners and associations so that the Company’s interests are well represented
  • Identify and give recognition to and earn the loyalty of our highest value customers, to retain their business

Customer Service

  • Support cargo reservations and bookings while providing exemplary customer service
  • Provide vendor notifications for on time and delayed flights on daily basis
  • Provide timely shipment status updates to customers
  • Support the established performance targets through operational oversight and participation
  • Implement customer service procedures to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Safety, Security and Compliance
  • Help to ensure compliance and conformance to all regulatory and internal safety, security, quality, and procedural requirements
  • Undertake quality check programs established by Head Office and participate in audits as required
  • Support Emergency and Accident role as and when required

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university with minimum of 2 years’ experience in airline cargo sales
  • Strong knowledge skills, trainings & experience of airlines and international airfreight industry
  • Strong communication and client management skills
  • Sensitive to confidential data and numbers
  • Proven success record in setting and achieving goals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office usage
  • Excellent Sales skills
  • Well versed with flight/cargo operations
