About the Project:
NAMASTE is a research project that aims to design and implement a flexible, evidence-based pathway towards universal health coverage for children with autism, through a program of research, training, and capacity building across Nepal, India, and Sri Lanka. This is a collaborative research project, led by the University of Manchester in the UK and India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. In Nepal, the ACNS collaborate to conduct this project in Godawari Municipality, Lalitpur district.
Major responsibilities:

About the organization
The ACNS (https://autismnepal.org/) is an active autism organization in Nepal led by parents of individuals with autism. It is a non-profit, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the District Administration Office (Registration No. 1067/2065) and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC No: 25314). Since its inception on 2 April 2008, on "World Autism Awareness Day," it has been actively engaged in autism awareness programs, advocating for the rights of individuals with autism and capacity building of individuals with autism, their parents and caregivers in Nepal. The organisation provides assessment and diagnostic services, intervention programs, parent training and counselling, a special education program, vocational training for adults with autism, and capacity building for health, educational, and other paraprofessionals.
