We are looking for high performing CAE Engineer to join our dynamic team. The candidate should have extensive experience in working with finite element analysis and multi body dynamics. The engineer should share the passion to engineer the best electric motorcycle in the world. Description

  • Design and development of motorcycle systems from FEA and durability perspective.
  • Perform Finite Element Analyses using commercially available FEA applications.
  • Performing FEA simulations steady state, dynamic, fatigue and forced response analyses
  • to verify the design of components, sub-systems and complete 2- wheeler system. Being
  • able to build Multibody dynamics model will be an added advantage for the candidate.

Qualification:

  • B.E or MTech in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience Finite Element Analysis using FEA software & MBD software.
  • 1-2 years of experience in providing design concepts, developing methodologies,
  • standards, and writing procedures. Experience in simulation and methodological
  • layout of components considering dynamic and durability requirements

Software

  • Mandatory: Must have worked in a FEA software like ANSYS/ Hyper works/ANSA/ Abaqus/Nastran, etc.
  • Preference :MBD software like ANSYS Motion, Motion Solve, Adams
  • Good to have: MATLAB Programming & Simulation.

Technical know-how:

  • Theoretical knowledge of FEA, Vibration, Materials, Strength of Materials
  • Strong fundamentals in Kinematics/dynamics of Machines
  • Theory knowledge in Fatigue failures (LCF & HCF)
  • Failure theories and its influence on durability failures.
  • Basic skills in design, project / program management.
  • Testing equipment, setup and analysis
  • Manufacturing Processes: studies bending, stamping, welding

Principal Accountability:

  • Build Multibody dynamics model of 2- wheeler vehicle using the data input from design team and co-relate the result output with test results.
  • Complete FEA analysis for a 2-wheeler domain including random vibration, static, dynamic and fatigue analysis.
  • Autonomous recommendations based on FEA and fatigue results to design team and team leads.
  • Structural and dynamic simulations e.g., stress analysis, model analysis, frequency response analysis, fatigue life predictions. Provide design solutions and recommendations
  • Co-relation between CAE and test results.
  • Technical report preparation and presentation to whole team.
  • Work with design team to recreate CAD based on suggestions from FEA.
  • Define, derive & deduce loading and boundary conditions at different systems & components in motorcycles.
  • Benchmarking of standard vehicles & preparation of full report. The benchmarking may also include tear down of vehicles which will also come under your work-scope.
  • Perform optimization project on existing design to reduce mass, volume and cost through topology & design optimization.
