Objective:

The Business Development Officer will be responsible for driving business growth through the establishment of strategic partnerships, sales, and effective procurement practices. This role will focus on identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with partners, and optimizing procurement processes to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnership Development

  • Identify and evaluate potential business partners (various business houses and stakeholders) and alliances that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and industry influencers.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, ensuring mutual benefits and alignment with company goals.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to integrate partnership initiatives into the company’s operations and strategies.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of partnerships, ensuring compliance with terms and achieving desired outcomes.
  • Represent the company in sales and marketing related networking events.

Sales Management

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market share.
  • Identify new business opportunities and markets for the company’s products and services.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and closure of sales deals.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals, reports, and forecasts to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute sales campaigns and promotional activities.

Procurement Oversight

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that ensure the company’s supply chain meets operational and financial performance targets.
  • Identify and source new suppliers and vendors, ensuring they meet quality and cost requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance, ensuring timely delivery and quality of goods and services.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure procurement activities align with overall business needs and objectives.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in market analysis and sales strategy development. Experience with procurement processes and supply chain management.
