Business Development Manager

Doko Recyclers (DR), a social enterprise, is the leading provider of comprehensive waste and environmental services in Kathmandu Valley and outside. DR serves customers in residential, commercial, industrial and municipal markets throughout the valley.

We implement methods to help you segregate waste at its source into different categories before it enters our waste stream. Once it enters our waste stream we continue to separate your waste into different recyclable categories ensuring that the right materials get to the right industries. These industries then extract and reuse existing resources from the waste you give us to create new goods. Our shredding, e-waste, and composting services in addition to our waste pick ups, awareness training workshops, and waste segregation infrastructure setup all allow you to do this instinctively in your own homes and office spaces.

Job Description

Business Development 

  • Routinely network within the industry to develop potential prospects and opportunities 
  • Routinely identify and develop new client relationships with measurable revenue streams for long term growth and profitability
  • Maintain good relationships with scrap traders, factories, corporate clients and government institutes
  • Handle Business Development projects
  • Apply and secure government and private tenders and auctions

Strategy Planning and Review 

  • Work closely with various internal units to identify growth opportunities to establish growth targets
  • Establish achievable growth targets the first week of every month
  • Identify and resolve issues that arise in the growth plan
  • Present strategy and progress reports for review to the core team every month

Supervisory Duties 

  • Manage the Business Development team and supervise their activities and operations
  • Weekly reporting of team members’ activities to the core team
