Roles and responsibilities of this job

TechSkills Institute is seeking a mid-level Bookkeeper with excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and experience in Australian accounting and Xero. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the financial records of the organization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
Maintain the General Ledger
Process payroll and ensure accurate record keeping
Reconcile bank and credit card statements
Analyze costs and implement effective cost control measures
Conduct regular cost and billing reconciliations
Perform intercompany reconciliations
Assist with End of Month processes
Ensure compliance with GST, PAYG, IAS, and ASIC regulations
Handle accounts administration tasks such as filing, archiving, and data entry
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
Collaborate with team members and vendors/suppliers for invoice processing and payments
Assist with budgeting and forecasting

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Australian accounting and Xero Accounting Software
Excellent communication skills to confidently make calls, follow up accounts, and coordinate with team members and vendors/suppliers
Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Ability to analyze costs and implement cost control measures
Honest and trustworthy with a can-do attitude
Proficient in using accounting software
Knowledge of GST, PAYG, IAS, and ASIC regulations

Working hours: 8 hours per day, 6 days a week (excluding lunch break).

Note: Salary is negotiable based on the candidate's experience level.
