  • Minimum 2 years of experience in surgical/lab/hospital equipment installation and maintenance
  • Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Technical Engineering, or a relevant field

  • Knowledge of medical device regulations and safety standards
  • Familiarity with clinical and hospital environments

Job Description

  • Design, develop, and test new medical materials, devices, and equipment using computer software and mathematical models.
  • Program electronics, build and evaluate prototypes, troubleshoot problems, and refine designs.
  • Liaise with technicians and manufacturers to ensure product feasibility in terms of design and economic viability.
  • Conduct research to solve clinical problems using various data collection methods.
  • Collaborate closely with medical professionals, patients, and caregivers.
  • Coordinate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and marketing departments to resolve issues.
  • Assess potential markets for new products or modifications.
  • Arrange and oversee clinical trials for medical products.
  • Present work and designs at conferences and exhibitions to diverse audiences.
  • Provide technical support and advice on new equipment to hospitals and healthcare providers.
  • Test, maintain, and troubleshoot clinical equipment.
  • Train technical and clinical staff on equipment use and maintenance.
  • Investigate and report on safety-related incidents.
  • Stay current with national and international developments in the biomedical engineering field.
