The experiential learning, project-based approach and practical training components are the key to provide students with the necessary competencies to function effectively as Leaders in the related Industry.

Following the innovative teaching modality, KFA BHM has developed 10 strong pillars where Integrated Practical Approach (IPA) is one of the most important ones. Under IPA, the theoretical classes and practical sessions are run parallelly, so that the students can immediately understand the practical implications of what they’ve learned in their theoretical classes.

IPA is highly effective and good learning experience for Academic Professors, who can get first hand exposure of practical aspects of hospitality industry and Professional Contributors, who can acquire knowledge from emerging theories around the world; and needless to say Students get exposures from both worlds: theoretical knowledge and relevant practical sessions.

In order to strengthen and diversify existing pool of Resource Persons, KFA is looking for Qualified & Experienced Housekeeping Faculty and Bakery Faculty on a part time basis, with an experience of minimum 3 to 4 years in the industry & 2 years teaching along with bachelors/diploma/ masters in hotel management.

Other sought attributes in a candidate:

  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of theory and practical.
  • Good at planning and organizing

The Housekeeping Faculty and Bakery faculty should

  • Plans & prepares lessons according to the requirement of the semester
  • Ensure that each lesson must be accompanied by practical sessions and ensure excellent delivery of academic & practical sessions by introducing latest practices in the hotels
  • Identify and establish communication in coordination with Academic Coordinator relationship with Star Hotels in Nepal for industry tour and internship placement
  • Identify, choose and implement different teaching methods for all students with various educational backgrounds and provide positive and honest environment for students during class hours
  • Transfer to students’ theoretical information, practical skills, methods and techniques and stimulate analytical and rational thinking
  • Examine and give students a feedback about their academic activity and counsel them concerning their educational development and career choosing
  • Provide any other relevant academic deliverables
