What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

3+ years of professional backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in one or more server-side languages, preferably Node.js (Express/NestJS) or Python (Django/FastAPI).
Extensive experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases.
Proven experience in designing, building, and consuming RESTful APIs; familiarity with GraphQL is a plus.
Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and implementing cloud-based architectures.
Solid understanding of code versioning tools, specifically Git.
Experience with backend testing frameworks and methodologies.

Experience in the E-commerce, or POS/Payments industry.

Experience with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka).
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical experience integrating ML models into backend services.
Understanding of secure coding practices and data protection standards (e.g., PCI DSS, OWASP).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our core engineering team. You will be responsible for building, maintaining, and scaling the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power the One POS platform. Your work will directly impact the performance, security, and reliability of a product used by thousands of businesses daily. You are a developer who thinks in systems and architectures, obsessed with performance, data integrity, and clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable backend services and APIs for the One POS platform.
Architect and manage database schemas, write efficient queries, and ensure optimal performance for high-volume transaction processing.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Implement data storage solutions, focusing on security and compliance, particularly for handling sensitive payment information.
Build and integrate with third-party services and payment gateways (e.g., Stripe, PayPal).
Develop and deploy microservices and containerized applications (e.g., using Docker, Kubernetes).
Write clean, documented, and testable code with a focus on maintainability (Unit/Integration tests).
Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and monitoring.
Identify and troubleshoot system bottlenecks, ensuring platform stability and performance.
