• Role: Cloud Specialist (Hybrid – Kathmandu)

Cloud Tantrix is seeking a Cloud Specialist to join our elite cloud engineering team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in infrastructure-as-code, modern API gateway deployment, and cloud observability. You’ll be part of a forward-thinking DevOps team delivering resilient, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructure for enterprise clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage scalable infrastructure on AWS using modular Terraform architecture.
• Configure and maintain NGINX for advanced use cases including TCP socket forwarding, load balancing, and secure API traffic control.
• Implement mTLS-based API authentication, and manage certificate lifecycle (ACM, custom certs).
• Deploy and tune Network Load Balancers (NLBs) for performance-critical workloads.
• Build monitoring dashboards using Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, and Prometheus for observability and alerting.
• Develop secure CI/CD pipelines that integrate infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure meets application, security, and compliance requirements.

Required Technical Qualifications

AWS Infrastructure Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with VPC, EC2, IAM, Route53, NLB, ACM, CloudWatch.

Terraform Proficiency: Deep understanding of modular Terraform design, version control, and automated provisioning.

NGINX Expertise: Experience with TCP and HTTP proxying, API gateway setups, and NGINX configuration at scale.

Secure APIs: Knowledge of API authentication mechanisms, including mTLS, token-based auth, and reverse proxying.

Certificate Management: Experience managing TLS certificates in both AWS ACM and self-managed systems.

Observability Tools: Experience with Grafana, CloudWatch Logs/Insights, Prometheus, and infrastructure monitoring best practices.

DevOps Practices: Familiarity with GitOps workflows, CI/CD pipelines, container registries, and security scanning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go.
• Exposure to service mesh technologies, container networking, or API rate limiting.
• Certifications: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Terraform Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
