Education Level : Under Graduate (Bachelor)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 3 years

  • Ability to think analytically, assume responsibility, coordinate with others, work independently and establish priorities
  • Demonstrated program management, coordination, teamwork, and planning skills with proven ability to function effectively with multiple counterparts in private, public, and NGO sectors
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills in Nepali and English, including excellent facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a complex environment. 
  • Bachelors’ degree in Social Science, Business Administration, Marketing, Human Resources Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred
  • 3-5 years of work experience in job placement or recruitment
  • Strong understanding of TVET sector, preferably in the area of vocational training and youth employment. 
  • Experience working with youth and establishing recruitment strategies
  • Contacts with the business community and business organizations in Nepal and abroad is desirable
  • Knowledge of the local and international job market
  • Experience working with public-private partnerships preferred


Job Description

  • Develop and implement job placement strategies to ensure graduates obtain employment
  • Work together with Marketing Department of MEPL to prepare/develop informational packs, including highlights on employability skills offered by the MAW Academy for Skills Development through its different training centers, currently in Sanothimi/Bhaktapur, Nepalgunj and Janakpur, to distribute to the prospective employers
  • Contact current and prospective employers including JCB branches to gather key information on their employment needs and to inform and sensitize them to the academy and the project
  • Support Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – MAW Academy for Skills Development to develop academy strategies to expand and scale up interventions for the sustainable model in training business
  • Seek and maintain strategic working with businesses/companies in the sectors in which the graduates are to be employed and are employed
  • Work with and support the academy team including training center-based staff so they can assist with identifying and securing job placement opportunities through their contacts
  • Assist the training center-based team in developing systems and tools for methodically identifying and engaging the employers and mentors to support graduates
  • Visit the businesses/companies to build and/or enhance the relationship
  • Maintain regular contact with existing and prospective employers, including employer associations and relevant government entities to explore emerging jobs
  • Interact with representatives from key stakeholders, and local government on job placement related matters
  • Collaborate and guide training center coordinators supporting job placement, and to ensure career guidance services are sharing up-to-date and accurate information on the job market
  • Maintain regular contact with the graduating trainees from training start until job placement phase. 
  • Maintain contact with graduates and continue tracking their employment status together with training center coordinators for at least 6 months after securing employment
  • Support CEO in preparing reports to be submitted to project donor agencies
  • Prepare and generate job placement related reports as requested by the CEO
