Job Title: Associate Director of Recruitment, Selection and Matriculation(RSM)
Fixed Term Contract from January 1, 2021 - July 2022 (Probable Extension)
Reports to: Director of Programs

About Teach For Nepal: 

Teach For Nepal currently has 137 outstanding university graduates as Fellows teaching in public and government schools in seven districts. By our eight year of engagement in the community we have impacted almost 30,000 plus children.

Job Purpose: 

The Associate Director of RSM is responsible to set the vision, strategy and goal to recruit the outstanding university graduates and young professionals who are committed to end educational inequity in Nepal. Director will also be accountable to lead the RSM team to achieve ambitious results.

Key Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Strategic Design and Planning 

  • Prepare recruitment & selection strategy and operational plan 
  • Analyze data for the proper projection and to monitor the operation 
  • Conduct research on RSM process for the optimization 

Enabling and nurturing Leaders 

  • Lead RSM team to ensure milestones are achieved as per the developed timeline, through monitoring, supporting and grooming 
  • Support and empower the managers in implementation of RSM strategy inline with organization vision of scaling 
  • Support to align the People, Culture and System with the vision and among themselves [Primarily Manager/ Secondary Team] 

Building and Sustaining Partnership 

  • Create effective partnership with relevant stakeholders and reflection. 
  • Collaboration to achieve vision: 
  • Communication lead 
  • Associate Director of knowledge development and training 
  • Associate Director of school and community impact 
  • Alumni Manager 
  • Admin and Finance manage

Competencies 

  • Demonstrates deep commitment and understanding of TFN’s mission and Theory of Change 
  • Ability to create a strategic plan for RSM, building sustainable pipeline and executing it
  • Results-oriented, ability to work with data, strategic and critical thinker, prioritize and give equal effort and attention to multiple projects, 
  • Ability to creatively solve problems, mediate conflicts, negotiate and communicate assertively in Nepali and English, 
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written)-who can speak compellingly about our organization, mission and goals and has a mature presence
  • Commitment to excellence and accuracy, with an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to manage and maintain high spirit/leading a team towards achieving ambitious goals 
  • Strong time management skills and remain flexible in order to accommodate multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Entrepreneurial attitude with the ability of working independently while also being a team player 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

Requirements 

  • Masters degree related to Development Studies, Innovation, Strategy, Management and Leadership or any relevant area 
  • Five plus years of managerial experience 
  • Proven success in recruitment with diverse organizations, philanthropists, or companies highly preferred, other relevant accomplishments in sales and marketing can be considered
  • Proficiency in data tracking and managing as well as critical thinker 
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office and database applications (preferably Salesforce) 

Location: Kathmandu based with few visits in placement communities to deepen the understanding of TFN and its work
