Job Purpose: Associate Customer Development Manager for PVM Nepal Pvt Ltd. will be responsible for leading and managing sales operations within the designated territory of Nepal. The primary objective will be to drive distribution expansion of PVM Nepal portfolio through a team of Customer development executives and distributor network.

  • In love with mountains and valleys. As a part of this assignment, some of the markets will be across the valleys and mountains, and to access them you will be required to travel extensively in tough hilly terrains. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: -

Planning & Strategy: Create distributor wise/ town wise distribution in alignment with country targets.

Drive Distribution growth: Identify new towns and Van routes for distribution and drive the initiatives around distribution network enhancement 

Distributor Management: Ensure that the distribution network in the towns and Van routes of the area are fully operational. Appoint distributors in towns as per the prescribed process of Distributor appointment. Manage the distributors in area by visiting them in the prescribed frequency, ensuring distribution hygiene ( Pipeline, claims settlement and market service)Track distributor efficiencies for the area and highlight cases of low performance. Create and lead the remedial action plan. Address all distributor related issues at the area level on a regular basis and ensure quarterly “No Dues Certification from all distributors” 

Build a team of talented front-line executives who have the potential and capability to grow in the organization. Identify the training and development needs of teammates Ensure on the job coaching and training through joint market work and regular feedback Monitor performance of each team member along the defined KPIs and goals and provide them with necessary guidance and specific tasks and goals. 

Know -how, Skills and knowledge for this position: 

  • Strong People orientation: The candidate must be a people person who has an ability to lead by example and inspire motivate and develop a high performing team. 
  • Strong Process orientation: The candidate must have a strong conviction in and adherence to the PVM sales processes. This is critical for establishing a process driven sales culture.
  • Effective Analytical skills: The candidate must be able to analyze simple Salesmen wise, Distributor wise, Sales officer wise sales reports, derive actionable insights (identify specific tasks and goals for each teammate) and drive implementation and execution in market. 
  • Effective communication skills: The candidate must have clear, simple and direct style of communication, which helps build trust across the distribution network and provide timely and correct information on the issues / opportunities. Open mindset : Nepal is a developing market, which requires an open and positive mindset to explore innovative ways of working, open to learning new processes, ready to find new solutions through pilots, experiments. Hence the candidate must be open to new ideas and keen to try new techniques, processes and systems to find more effective solutions to the challenges and problems that we face in a growing market like NEPAL
  • Educational Qualifications: Graduate / Postgraduates with the degree in Business Management

Other basic requirements: 

  • Minimum 4-5 years of sales experience of which at least 2 years must be as area sales manager 

Languages: Nepali/ Hindi and English

Must have a valid Passport/ national Identity Card
