Position: Assistant Specialist / Assistant Technical Specialist – Service Desk

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and optimize the general ITSM/ITAM activities.
  • Centralized policies enforcement through available technologies like, SCCM, AD/DC, LAPS etc.
  • Provide IT support to end-users.
  • Ensure SLA fulfillment for each service request, regularly review task completion status, generate reports, and oversee service delivery execution.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT complaints, patching with current versions, working with the cross functions and support vendors.
  • Maintain knowledge base documents related to services and solutions.
  • Perform technical maintenance on office IT equipment, including printers, faxes, copiers, scanners, phones, and multifunctional devices.
  • Respond promptly to user inquiries through various communication channels.
  • Install and configure software for end-users.
  • Maintain computer systems and ensure optimal performance.
  • Stay updated with new technology and software.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT assets to ensure transparency, accountability, and compliance.
  • Optimize IT systems and processes through automation and digitization for improved monitoring and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with different teams to design, integrate, and optimize system components for better performance.
  • Enforce security measures and manage user access to IT systems.
  • Analyze IT service processes, technical frameworks, guidelines, and policies.
  • Identify areas for improvement and enhance service management, development, operations, and maintenance.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs for IT services to improve customer experience.
  • Analyze, review, and maintain IT device inventory accurately.
  • Ensure IT services align with business and technology needs for faster delivery.
  • Install, test, and deploy IT systems to provide first-level technical support to all the departments.
  • Administer System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for centralized client device management, reporting, and security compliance.

Education Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering in Information Technology / Computer Applications is preferred 
  • Experience in the relevant field will be preferred.
  • Excellent knowledge of Enterprise IT Services.
  • Microsoft and ITSM Certification is preferred.
  • Experience in the enterprise solutions & IT services and underline services, partners & vendor management is preferred
  • Excellent IT knowledge.

  • Strong collaboration skills with capability to drive integration and build solid organizational relationships as well as fostering collaboration among the teams.
  • Availability to business trips inside and outside country, as per the requirement.
  • Availability to work on off-hours and weekends, as per the requirement.
  • Shall be available on the official mobile phone 7 days a week and shall inform immediate reporting Manager of the period of his/her unavailability on the mobile phone in advance and provide all possible contact details for urgent contact within this period.

Duty Station:
Kathmandu but can be placed anywhere in Nepal as per business needs or future requirements.
