Reports To: General Manager – Sales & Marketing

Job Summary:

The Assistant Sales Manager (ASM) will drive sales growth, expand business opportunities, and maintain strong relationships with clients and business partners. This role involves strategic planning, territory management, monitoring team performance, and collaborating with marketing to enhance overall company performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve sales targets set by management and monitor territory performance.
Identify key prospective points of sale and generate leads for institutional and retail sales.
Visit supermarkets, marts, malls, restaurants, bars, pubs, hotels, and other outlets to develop new business opportunities.
Maintain and strengthen relationships with business partners and clients.
Arrange product display spaces and ensure proper visibility in specialized outlets.
Oversee contracts and agreements with new business partners.
Prepare and execute annual sales plans, quarterly forecasts, trade programs, and promotional schemes.
Monitor competitor activities and market trends; provide analysis to management.
Compile, analyze, and interpret sales data; submit progress, monthly, and periodic reports.
Represent the company in business activities with high-profile clients, corporate houses, and partners.
Collaborate with marketing to implement effective promotional plans, spot promotions, and events.
Supervise merchandisers and ensure the proper execution of field activities.
Manage distribution of promotional materials and giveaways.
Undertake other tasks as assigned by GM – Sales & Marketing.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably in FMCG, retail, hospitality, or related industries.
Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze sales data and prepare actionable reports.
Proficient in MS Office and basic sales tools.
Result-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
