WMOO stands for World Missions Outreach Organization. It analyzes the country where more vulnerable and suffering women and children are present and help/ support them accordingly.  Nepal is a developing country, which lies in south-Asia. It is regarded as one of the poorest countries in the world. The women and the children of Nepal are the most vulnerable and suffering group. With the vision of supporting women and children of Nepal WMOO was established in 2015 A.D. in Nepal.

Today, WMOO focuses on rescuing victims of human trafficking, caring for children orphaned by natural disasters and child and adult education.

WMOO Nepal has a head office at Gatthaghar, Bhaktapur and 3 different branch offices at Kakarvitta, Bhadrapur and Biratnagar. All the branch offices are located in Nepal-India border area from where many Nepalese women and children are trafficked to different parts of India and third countries for different purposes. WMOO rescues such groups and provides them firm ground on which they can stand and build a new life.

Working Conditions:

  • Assistant program coordinators have regular working hours. 
  • They work from nine to five from Monday to Friday. 
  • However, work schedules may change to meet deadlines, so being flexible in time is needed.
  • This job may sometimes require travel to meet clients and other important people. 
  • He/She will directly report to Programme Officer.

Job Description

The Assistant Programme Officer may be based in Kathmandu, and visit the field as the need and normally receive guidance from more senior programme staff in the operation/bureau/division and may supervise a small team of local staff. The Assistant Programme Officer will support the provision of programmatic guidance and support with regard to the implementation of protection and solutions strategies within available resources. The incumbent will play a role in coordinating with the other boarder staffs/ units to ensure harmonized programmatic approaches at all levels. 

Duties 

  • Support in assessing and analyzing the needs of persons of concern in a participatory manner
  • Provide support on programmatic aspects of developing annual plans, annual budgets, reporting, case studies, and other program activities.
  • Contribute to ensure consistent and coherent monitoring approaches, tools and systems within working area.
  • Assist in the project's M&E and knowledge management efforts, ensuring effective data collection, analysis, and dissemination of results.
  • Manage the organization's social media accounts, including creating engaging content and monitoring user engagement.
  • Administer basic office activities like meeting schedules, communications, work plans, staff assignments and disburse all data.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned to contribute to the successful implementation of projects.
