The Asia Foundation Nepal is seeking an Assistant Director to provide overall management and technical support in the implementation of The Asia Foundation-Australian Government Partnership on Subnational Governance in Nepal.
S/he will be part of the Partnership management team and will provide guidance in the areas of local, urban or economic governance, and help establish synergies between different strategic areas under the Partnership/Program. S/he will support the establishment of high-level strategic partnerships with government, civil society, academic and research institutions, business associations, and development partners. S/he will ensure the use of a politically informed, flexible, iterative programming approach.
Further, S/he will participate in regular field visits to program locations to monitor program activities, identify issues and challenges, and develop and recommend solutions. The Assistant Director will report to
Program Director while working closely with all team members within the Foundation’s Kathmandu Office. This position is open to only Nepali nationals.
