Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a competent and detail-oriented Assistant Finance Manager to support its finance and accounting operations. The position will be responsible for overseeing accounting activities, financial reporting, taxation, reconciliations and client deliverables in ensuring timely and accurate financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and review day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities for the company and its clients.
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, management reports, and financial schedules.
Perform and review bank, ledger, receivable, payable and other account reconciliations.
Assist in preparation of budgets, cash-flow forecasts and variance analysis.
Ensure timely and accurate tax calculations, VAT, TDS and statutory filings in accordance with applicable requirements.
Coordinate with clients, auditors, banks and other stakeholders for finance and accounting matters.
Support month-end and year-end closing, audit requirements and preparation of audit schedules.
Review the work of finance team members and provide guidance to ensure accuracy and timely completion of assignments.
Maintain effective internal controls, accounting procedures and proper documentation.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and accounting automation.
Perform other finance and accounting responsibilities assigned by management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Management or a related field. Semi- qualified CA will be an advantage.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit or finance.
Strong knowledge of Nepalese accounting and taxation requirements.
Good command of MS Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
Strong analytical, communication and team-management skills.
High level of accuracy, integrity and ability to meet deadlines.
