Job Description

ASSIGNMENT
The Assessment/Database (DB) Officer is responsible for the collection and sharing of data in order to better identify the needs and gaps as well as registering and maintaining the database of the sites under his care. The Community Mobilization Officer works under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator who has final decision on design of strategy, tools, and trainings.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assessment, data collection and sharing
  • Organize and coordinate assessments, data collection and analysis for each site.
  • Organize Focus-Group Discussions, surveys, interviews or any other type of data collection methods when required.
  • Produce graphics and information sharing materials (population statistics, factsheets) of the sites under his care for the population, project coordinator, programme coordinator and relevant stakeholders.
  • In coordination with the Community Mobilization Officer, organize mass information campaigns in the camp on relevant topics and issues.

Registration and database

  • Create and maintain a database of the sites’ population.
  • Facilitate the registration process of the sites’ population.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of the population data.

Feedback Mechanism

  • Provide to the sites’ population and diffuse in communal areas the phone number for the ACTED feedback help desk.
  • Be the focal point for complaints and feedback by beneficiaries.

Delivery of services

  • In coordination with the CMO and the Technical specialist, track the delivery of services for each site.
  • Keep up to date the Service Provision Tracking Tool (SPTT) and CCCM Checklist as well as other monitoring tools assigned by his line manager.
  • Identify and refer to the Team leader and Project Coordinator Protection and cross-cutting issues such as: gender mainstreaming, gender-based violence, psycho-social support or Child Protection.
  • Attend the Site Coordination Meetings and Site Committee Coordination Meetings organized by the CMO.

Overarching tasks

  • The Assessment/DB Officer position is field-based, and foresees daily presence in the sites. The Officer should go to the camp, with his teammates, the full working week and during weekend when needed and/or requested.
  • The Assessment/DB Officer may also support his teammates in their daily tasks through.
  • The Assessment/DB Officer may undertake any other tasks, within the framework of his/her position, as requested by his/her supervisor
