The GWT(N) ensures that Gurkha veterans, their widows and their wider communities are able to live their lives with dignity. Job Specification

Education Level : Under Graduate (Bachelor)
Experience Required : More than or equal to 10 years
Other Specification
  • MBBS and relevant Post Graduate qualifications (MD in GP or Internal Medicine) 
  • Alternatively, if no postgraduate degree after MBBS, must have 10 years relevant work experience post MBBS
  • Current unrestricted registration with Nepal Medical Council (NMC)
  • Must have good command of both spoken and written English and Nepali
  • Must be computer literate
  • High level of communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, paying careful attention to detail and managing multiple tasks.
  • Working knowledge and application of relevant Country legislation governing Medical Service Delivery

Job Description

  • The AWC Doctor is overall responsible for implementing clinical care and clinical governance in his/her medical centre in accordance with all GWT(N) standards of medical service delivery, quality standards, disease management guidelines, professional standards, policies and procedures. 
  • The AWC Dr is responsible for the clinical outcome of all patients under the care of the HCPs working in the medical centre. 
  • If posted in AWC Kaski, the AWC doctor is also responsible for the holistic medical care of all residents or rehabilitation patients in the attached residential home.
