Job Description

Work Purpose: To ensure that livelihoods technical interventions are delivered to a high quality, and in alignment with WVIN’s livelihoods strategy. This includes ensuring designs and plans are in alignment with strategy and latest thinking.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in Agriculture or related field from recognised university with at least two years’ work experience in livelihoods sectors in rural areas,
  • Good knowledge of community based livelihoods projects and emerging issues of rural farmers of Nepal,
  • Good Knowledge of organic farming and co-operative capacity building,
  • Excellent Training and Facilitation skills,
  • Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in the cultural context of Nepal, 
  • Excellent decision making and problem solving skills
  • Experience in using logical frameworks and project monitoring
  • Competent in using MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint presentation, 
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Nepali                 
  • Willingness to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values, 
  • Ability to work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
  • Self-motivated, confident, independent, 
  • Creative with strong analytical and interpersonal skills, 
  • Positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people.
