Job Description

  • Supervise and Coordinate in creating building designs and highly detailed drawings both by hand and by using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) applications
  • To follow the government standards such as building codes, municipality bylaws, fire regulations, zoning laws and disable friendly techniques when creating plans
  • Working around constraining factors such as town planning legislation, environmental impact and project budget
  • Supervise and Verify prepared Architectural designs by collecting and studying reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and terrain, hydrological characteristics, and related topographical and geologic data
  • Working closely with Clients and team of other professionals such as building service engineers, construction managers, quantity surveyors and architectural technologists
  • Applying for planning permission and advice from governmental new build and legal departments
  • Verifying the specification of the requirements for the project & program formulation
  • Adapting plans according to circumstances and resolving any problems that may arise during construction
  • Playing a part in project and team management
  • Travelling to proposed locations and client meetings as per need from initial discussion phase to completion
  • Coordinating projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design
  • Prepare and Supervise juniors while preparing Architectural specifications, detailed drawings and necessary documents (For instance: concepts, planning, elevation, sections. Site plans, 3D Modeling, Municipal Approval, working drawing, electrical sanitary and so on as per requirement
  • Compile and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies verifying that projects comply with various regulations
  • Visit worksites to ensure that construction adheres to architectural plans
  • Consult with other professionals about design
  • Assess the needs of the building and its users and advise the client on the practicality of their project
  • Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to the client
  • Specify the nature and quality of materials required
