Experience with communication and messaging applications
Experience with security software and solutions
Solid background in software development, and design patterns
Experience with the Android SDK, java, NDK, C++
Experience with JSON concepts and REST APIs
Experience working with product management and UI/UX designers
Experience working with customers and partners
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast moving and growing environment
Design and build applications for the Android platform
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features
Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

An Android developer is responsible for developing applications for devices powered by the Android operating system
Due to the fragmentation of this ecosystem, an Android developer must pay special attention to the application’s compatibility with multiple versions of Android and device types
They must also have a strong understanding of the patterns and practices that revolve around such a platform
