Job Description

Work Purpose: To develop & implement the advocacy plan to cover the WVI-NER in leadership of Public Engagement Manager and liaison with in country, regional and global networks involved in Nepal advocacy work by providing up to date information and reflecting global information into the regional advocacy disclosure in consultation with Public Engagement Manager. 
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in Social Science/Social work from recognized university with at least 3 years’ experience in campaigning, lobbying, and government engagement.
  • Excellent capacity building skills, with proven experience in multiple methods
  • Good writing skills required to develop reports capturing good practice and learning.
  • Strong coordination and networking skills
  • Demonstrated skills on liaison with government & non-government stakeholders
  • Strategic, creative & thinking in the emergency context
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Good in communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in Nepali and English language – written and oral.
  • Willing to commit to World Vision ethos, vision, mission and core values.
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people; Good team player; Good people management skills; Able to work under pressure; Possess high level of integrity and honesty; Self-motivated; Confident; Independent.
