Job Description

Job Summary:

As an Admission Counselor at MentorLab, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and assisting prospective learners through the admission process. You will be responsible for understanding the educational needs and aspirations of potential students and providing them with comprehensive information about our online programs offered in partnership with upGrad. Your strong interpersonal skills, empathetic approach, and deep knowledge of our programs will be essential in helping individuals make informed decisions about their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective learners, responding to their inquiries via phone, email, chat, and other communication channels.
  • Engage with potential students, understand their career goals, and provide personalized guidance on suitable programs.
  • Conduct informative and persuasive consultations, highlighting the benefits and features of our online programs and addressing any concerns or queries.
  • Assist students with the application process, ensuring all necessary documents are completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Collaborate with the admissions team to review applications, assess eligibility, and make admission decisions following our admission criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions with prospective learners in the CRM system.
  • Stay updated with the program offerings, curriculum, and industry trends to effectively address student queries and concerns.
  • Participate in educational fairs, webinars, and other events to represent Mentor Lab and provide information to prospective learners.
  • Provide feedback and insights to the management team on student preferences, market demands, and competition.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Proven 2+ years experience as an admission counselor, student advisor, or similar role. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Empathetic listener with the ability to understand and address student needs.
  • Familiarity with online learning platforms and an understanding of the benefits of online education.
  • Detail-oriented and well-organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Nepali.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
