National Campaign for Education Nepal, a national network of more than 508 national and grassroots level organizations, is seeking qualified, motivated and dedicated candidates for the following position.

Position: Admin and Finance Officer

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise financial staff work and ensure quality
Review and implement financial policies and procedures in compliance with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
Preparation of payroll and voucher and ensure correct deduction of Retirement Fund, personal expenses and advances if any
Take lead in auditing and ensuring other financial compliance of organization
Oversee the administrative functions of the organization, including office management, procurement and logistics.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, financing and related subjects
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, human resources, administrative and office management in donor-funded development projects or related field preferable in a CSOs.
Strong background in donor reporting and communication
Strong background and experience in financial planning, budgeting, implementation and analysis
Ability to prepare and track the budget information and advise the management
Ability to provide financial and management information as required by the management
Good knowledge and understanding of government financial and tax-related policies
Good skills in financial and administrative management and internal control systems
Sound knowledge and skill in operating TALLY and other accounting software
Sound ability to carry out multi-tasks and work under pressure
Have strong leadership & supervision skills and ability to motivate other staff in the organization
Proficient in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel
Sound understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards
Excellent organization and communication skills
Proficiency in English both written and spoken

National Campaign for Education Nepal (NCE Nepal) with ECOSOC status organization is a national network of different 508 member organizations that includes I/NGOs, teacher organization, journalists and community organization working for strengthening of the public education system in Nepal by ensuring the educational rights of children and adults that are provisioned in the constitution.

Established in 2003 as Nepal chapter of Global Campaign for Education (GCE), NCE Nepal has been engaged in the education campaigning through research, capacity enhancement initiatives, community mobilization and networking.

Mission

To facilitate empowerment and improvement of the lives of poor, marginalized and excluded children, youth and adult through research, policy advocacy, capacity building of stakeholders, solidarity building, resource mobilization, networking, education resource and information dissemination and act as a watch dog and pressure group.

Every citizen is educated and empowered to improve their well being and enjoy full potential in a justice, equitable, inclusive and peaceful society.

Goal

To ensure equitable, inclusive, free, compulsory and quality education for children, youth and adult as their fundamental right to education in Nepal.
