Admin and Finance Officer - 1 position

Project: MCHN

Project Working Areas: former Narayanpur, Dhansingpur, Lalbhoji and Bhajani VDC of Kailali district

This position is responsible to manage overall accounting, financial and administrative system of project implemented in partnership with WVIN. S/He will also contribute to strengthen and facilitate financial systems, practices and procedures of WACT, including internal control systems, internal and external statutory audits

Term & Location: Fixed term position and will be based in Tikapur office and will be required to travel at least 30% of the time

Academic Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with at least a 3 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting in Development Sector  

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Competency

  • Knowledge of finance/accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of periodic financial reporting including donor’s reporting
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements regarding financial and taxation
  • Liaise with other departments/customers/vendors
  • Technical accounting skills includes good computer skills-MS office and proficiency in relevant accounting software, preferably IPAS
  • Knowledge of data management and analysis
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Effective written and oral communications skills including facilitation, presentation and reporting skills
  • Good interpersonal and strong coordination skills with Funding partner/s and external auditors
