Hydroplan has offices in Nepal and the UK, with a new office opening soon in India. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant - Bookkeeper to support our growing international operations. The ideal candidate will have relevant accounting qualifications and experience, with a strong understanding of the financial, taxation, payroll, and compliance requirements across all three jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage financial reporting, taxation, and compliance activities of Nepal, India and UK offices
Assist an external auditor in India with the compilation of the necessary information
Handle payroll, TDS, income tax computations, and regulatory filings of the Indian office as per the Indian tax system.
Also assist with the payroll, TDS, income tax computations, and regulatory filings of the Nepal office.
Oversee and assist with processing of payments, including vendor invoices, individual reimbursements, payroll, and other accounts payable and receivables
Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Manage invoices, vendor payments, and reconcile bank statements in QuickBooks and Excel
Manage project costing and expense tracking
Other ad hoc and Admin duties as required

Required Education Level:Professional Certification

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Required Education Level: CA (ICAI) qualification or pursuing
Have completed some form of article ship or traineeship from Indian accountancy firms
Fluent in English, both verbal and written. (C1 / C2)
Excellent computer skills with strong MS-Excel and the ability to learn new software.
Experience in a similar industry is an advantage
Qualified/Semi-qualified CA from ICAI would be given preference
Additional ACCA Professional Level qualification would be a bonus
Knowledge of accounting software like QuickBooks will be an added advantage.
To be an effective member of the Company team and to actively engage in training schemes both formal and informal.
To be a loyal representative of the Company especially in the presence of Clients and Suppliers.
