Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Accountant is responsible for managing the organisation’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all accounting and financial activities. The role supports business sustainability through financial reporting, budgeting, payroll management, compliance, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Use Xero accounting software for daily financial management and reporting.
Manage financial records, invoices, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciles, and cash flow.
Prepare budgets, profit and loss reports, and financial forecasts.
Handle billing, service bookings, and claims processing.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and financial regulations.
Process payroll, superannuation, BAS, payroll tax, and employee entitlements.
Maintain accurate employee and financial records.
Support audits, improve financial systems, and provide financial insights to management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or more.
Minimum 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting.
Effective communication skills, teamwork, time management, and attention to detail.
Be proficient in writing and speaking.
Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work in a busy environment.

Other Notes

Additional duties and training may be assigned by management as required.
Both the employee and management are required to sign an acknowledgment of responsibilities.
