Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage and maintain the company’s financial records and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, stay updated on financial regulations and tax requirements, ensure accurate reporting and compliance, analyze financial data, and contribute to effective financial planning and control to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts on a daily basis
Should be able to use Tally Prime
Record all financial transactions including sales, purchases, expenses, and payments
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
Ensure timely bank reconciliation and cash flow management
Prepare and submit statutory returns such as VAT, TDS, and other applicable taxes
Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
Monitor inventory accounting in coordination with stores and sales teams
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant financial regulations in Nepal
Assist management in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Support management with financial analysis and cost control measures

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience (experience in pharma/FMCG is an advantage)
Sound knowledge of Nepal accounting standards and tax regulations
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Swastik, or equivalent)
Strong command of MS Office, especially Excel
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and numerical ability
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality
