Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our esteemed construction company. We are seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to our dynamic team. Freshers are welcome to apply, though prior experience in the construction industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Use accounting software such as Tally, Finpro, or Swastik.
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements and reports.
Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payment and collection.
Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Process payroll for construction staff, ensuring accurate calculations and timely payments.
Monitor project costs and expenses, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards in the construction industry.
Prepare site-wise monthly expense reports.
Undertake additional projects and tasks as required by management.

Note: Priority will still be given to candidates with prior experience in the construction industry, but freshers are encouraged to apply.

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: More than 1 year of accounting experience preferred; freshers are encouraged to apply. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, Finpro, and Swastik.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Expertise in preparing financial statements, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
