Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial management of the company. The role involves day-to-day accounting operations, assist in preparation of financial statements, tax compliance, and assisting in audits.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain day-to-day financial transactions including journal entries, ledgers, and balances.
• Record and update all accounting vouchers — purchase, sales, payment, and receipt.
• Maintain and reconcile inventory records and coordinate periodic physical verification of stock.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements on a regular basis.
• Manage debtors and creditors ledgers and ensure timely reconciliation and confirmation.
• Prepare monthly salary sheets, process payroll, and calculate statutory deductions.
• File E-TDS, VAT returns, and ensure compliance with Income Tax and VAT regulations as per Nepal laws.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Support external auditors during statutory and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
• Calculate interest, monitor cash flow, and assist in preparing fund flow statements.
• Monitor accounts receivable and payable for timely settlement.
• Support management in budgeting, forecasting, and other financial reporting requirements.
• Perform any other accounting and finance-related tasks as assigned by management.
