We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team at A Travel Agency. This mid-level position requires a candidate with 3-5 years of work experience in the travel industry, specifically with an IATA certified company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, with a keen understanding of the unique needs and challenges of the travel industry.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records of the company
Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements
Monitor and track expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with budget guidelines
Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
Prepare and process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations
Monitor and update financial policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations
Assist with annual audits and tax filings
Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting standards
Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial management and decision-making
Maintain confidentiality of all financial information

Other Specification

Graduate (Master's/ Bachelor's degree) in accounting, finance, or related field
3-5 years of work experience in the travel industry with an IATA certified company
Strong knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and reporting
Should have knowledge of operating GDS (Amadeus, Gallileo & Sabre) able to deal with IATA and BSP links etc.
Proficient in accounting software, Excel, and other financial tools
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing industry
