Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Academic Coordinator in the School of Information Technology at Thames International College, located in Kathmandu. The Academic Coordinator will be responsible for daily tasks such as curriculum development, academic advising, managing communication with students and faculty, and conducting research. The role includes coordinating academic activities, ensuring academic standards, and supporting both students and staff to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications

  • Education and Curriculum Development skills
  • Strong Communication and Academic Advising skills
  • Experience in conducting and applying Research
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and administrative staff
  • Master’s degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting Academic head in order to develop and maintain the overall academic standard of the college
  • Facilitate student learning, provide effective instruction, and perform evaluations of student learning for all assigned classes, using the standard course outline as a guide
  • Engage in curriculum planning, development, and administration
  • Undertake the role of IT Faculty and relevant administrative duties
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned
  • Designing elective courses for IT Students
  • Organizing IT Fest, events and exposure visits
