Together with the Government of Nepal (GoN), civil society, and the private sector, FHI 360 works collaboratively in the areas of HIV, family planning (FP)/reproductive health (RH), health security, antimicrobial resistance, nutrition, COVID-19 response, procurement, and supply chain management, local capacity strengthening, civil society and media strengthening, governance reform and the environment and climate change.

Youth Engagement and Citizen Science Initiatives

Key Responsibilities

A. Citizen Science Initiatives:

  • Prepare a terms of reference, training plan and packages, mobilization plan for citizen scientists.
  • Select citizen scientists. 
  • Deliver relevant trainings to the selected citizen scientists.
  • Mobilize, monitor, and provide support to citizen scientists to collect and analyze data. 
  • Organize learning event for citizen scientists to share and analyze their findings and experiences.
  • Work closely with citizen scientists to collect and prepare communication materials (such as stories, photos, video diaries, posters, artwork)

B. Youth Engagement:

  • Prepare capacity building plans, training packages and mobilization plan for the selected volunteers.
  • Deliver relevant trainings to the selected volunteers
  • Mobilize volunteers for various initiatives, community events of USAID Clean Air.
  • Organize learning event for youth volunteers to share and analyze their findings and experiences.
  • Work closely with the volunteers to collect and prepare communication materials (such as stories, photos, video diaries, posters, artwork)

C. Assist USAID Clean Air team to organize various events including:

  • Managing overall event ensuring logistics and administrative processes. 
  • Ensure smooth completion of events and required documentations. 

D. Provide support and assist Chief of Party and Deputy Chief of Party in execution of other tasks as and when necessary for USAID Clean Air.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Program Management or any other relevant field.
  • At least five years of work experience including coordination with stakeholders, designing youth campaigns and initiatives, youth mobilization for citizen engagement. 
  • Good skills in delivering training, event facilitation and networking. 
  • Good communication and report writing skill.
  • Good command in oral in both Nepali and English languages.
