Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Lead and develop curriculum for Youth Program sessions (academic or empowerment sessions, after school or homework help sessions) 2-3x each week during school at two local secondary schools and one local primary school partners.
Maintain positive partner school relationships and manage regular communication with partner schools, potential and interested schools, student groups and partnering organizations.
Facilitate after school tutoring, academic, and extracurricular sessions for local school children with international volunteers to participate.
Plan logistics with rural and remote schools in the region to develop further relationships through our Painting Program, beautifying rural classrooms around Indrawati Gaunpalika.
Assisting with outside of program translation needs for operational and organizational purposes.

Fluent Nepali - written and oral
English fluency - written and oral
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
Comfortable living communally and in a rural, rustic setting (basic earthen homes and shared bathroom/kitchen/common spaces or a local family’s homestay)
Previous classroom teaching experience and/or youth leadership experience
Microsoft Office applications competency (word, excel, powerpoint)
Enjoy outside activities and interested in walking 1-2 km to local schools regularly
