We are looking for a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with the responsive and adaptive design is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain simple to complex websites in WordPress
• Planning and executing the development process efficiently
• Communicate effectively with team members and PM’s throughout the development
• Develop and maintain WP plugins/themes and build custom solutions depending on the requirements
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues.

What are we looking for:

• Should have minimum 2+ years of professional work experience in WordPress 
• Extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress websites
• Should have experience in WordPress theme and plugin development
• Knowledge of WordPress coding standard and best practices for developing efficient and high-quality back-end system
• Knowledge of responsive design/css is a plus
• Strong Knowledge in jQuery, JavaScript, AJAX
• Good knowledge of WooCommerce
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git)

Nice to have:

• Experience with building REST API services and integrating with 3rd party API services
• Advanced proficiency in coding and applying effective techniques
• Have a good understanding of Gutenberg, Blocks, Sage, WP Bakery, Elementor and premium themes
• Experience in code review and optimisation
• Strong knowledge in Php and OOP
