Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Treatment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of water treatment systems, ensuring the production of safe, high-quality water in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Water Treatment Operations:

  • Operate and monitor water treatment equipment, including filtration, disinfection, and chemical dosing systems.
  • Perform regular tests and analyses on water quality to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Adjust treatment processes as necessary based on water quality results and production requirements.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of water treatment systems and equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational issues, performing repairs or coordinating with maintenance personnel as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and operational parameters.

Quality Control:

  • Collect and analyze water samples in accordance with established protocols.
  • Document and report any deviations in water quality or treatment processes to the management team.
  • Assist in implementing quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring that safety protocols are followed at all times.
  • Participate in safety training and emergency response drills as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of treatment processes, water quality test results, and maintenance activities.
  • Prepare reports for management regarding operational performance, water quality, and compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for water treatment processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent; a degree in environmental science, chemistry, or equivalent with 1 year of experienced or Intermediate in Science, engineering o related subject with over 3 years of experience is also acceptable.
  • Previous experience as a water treatment operator or in a similar role in the water industry is required.
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes, equipment, and regulatory standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with chemical handling and safety procedures.
  • Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting water treatment equipment.
