Water Supply Sub-engineers

Major Responsibilities:

Assist monthly planning and implementation of designed WASH programme on Public Health Engineering (PHE) aspects

Assist to line supervisor for making effective plan of implementation works
Update to line supervision of daily progress activities in regular basis
Ensure to implement the designed and planned activities at field level
Ensure appropriate community involvements in the implementation and delivery of essential WASH services and facilities

Take lead in water supply project implementation (in PHE part) at field level

Take lead to implementation of designed Water Supply Schemes (WSS) activities at field level
Supervise, manage, monitor and mobilization to sub ordinate as per requirement of works
Ensure quality of materials used for the construction works at field level

Monitor and supervise of ongoing construction works

Oversee the implementation of project in the field
Regularly monitor supervision of the WASH implementation works at the field level
Undertake regular field/site visits to ensure technical support to sub-ordinate and proper monitoring of the activities’ in implementation
Ensure the quality of construction works and report to the line supervisor
Co-ordinate and collaboration with Water and Sanitation Users Committee (WSUC) for smoothly completion of works

Qualification and Experience:

Diploma in Civil engineering with at least two years of experience in relevant field preferably in International/NGO

Required Skills:

Experience in rural water supply project’s survey, design and implementation coordinating with WSUC
Good experience of management and mobilization of community technician, plumber, labours for the implementation of designed structure
Experience of working with WSUC, rural/municipalities, WASH stakeholders
Innovative, problem solver and result oriented
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Ability to work in diverse environment and remote areas
Sensitive and responsive to Gender, Age Diversity and Social Inclusion
