Major Responsibilities:

  • Take leadership in programme implementation in public health engineering specifically on rural water supply system construction and its management
  • Assist to plan and design WASH programme focusing on Public Health Engineering aspects 
  • Support in partnership management and capacity building of the partners in public health engineering
  • Ensure constant and efficient Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) on interventions of partner organizations 
  • Support in coordination, networking and advocacy at various level 
  • Support in knowledge management and reporting 
  • Participate in the administrative procedures of programme as and when required

Qualification and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or relevant discipline with at least two years of field experience in WASH sector in development organizations preferably in International/NGO or UN agency – or - Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with at least four years of aforementioned experience

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in project management, excellent interpersonal, networking and negotiation skills
  • Well experience in rural water supply system and its different component for technical support, supervision and proper guidance to technical team members 
  • Technically strong on survey, design, estimation of rural water supply system and other WASH facilities with good understanding of functionality & sustainability, Water Safety Plan 
  • Experience in technical Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL), training and capacity building, advocacy & knowledge management in WASH sector
  • Good understanding of technical cross cutting issues in WASH sector (WASH in Nutrition, new technologies and WASH governance) 
  • Ability to analysis a situation, synthesize information and use the outputs to improve implementation and good coordination 
  • Ability to work in diverse environment 
  • Innovative, problem solver and result oriented 
  • Good standard of written and spoken Nepali and English language 
  • Good Computer skills (Microsoft package) including analysis and reporting skill 
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines 
  • Ability to work in diverse environment and remote areas
  • Sensitive and responsive to Gender, Age Diversity and Social Inclusion
